What is the Academy of Culture at Tintagel?
"Class Academy" is the Academy that you can learn a variety of medieval fencing and medieval culture of Europe. The cultural academy is divided into three large main Academy, you can learn swordsmanship and culture that are specific to each of these areas. Let's introduce you one by one.
Academy of Chivalry
Have you dreamed of being a knight in shining armour? Well, this class is
about learning to be one for real. In the *Academy of Chivalry*, students
train intensively in order to test themselves in fully-armoured combat.
Students can expect to learn fighting skills, chivalric philosophy, and
small unit tactics. Compete in both one on one events and group battles!

※For novelists and cartoonists who write about something medieval, we would
highly recommend joining the Academy of Chivalry. It will stimulate you and
help your works, especially in battle and historical scenes.
Academy of Swordmanship
The class focuses on the unarmoured fighting arts of the medieval knights.
Dead for centuries, medieval German fencing has only recently been
resurrected from historical texts by a handful of practioners around the
world. Although there a many schools and clubs that study German Fencng in
North America and Europe, Castle Tintagel is the first to offer these rare
skill to Japan.

Currently students can study German two-handed sword and sword and buckler
in the 15th century Lichtenauer style. Each class will introduce them to
aggressive styles of swordplay that are utterly distinct from those of Japan
and China.
Academy of Medieval Culture
Are you interested in historical crafts and culture? These culture classes
are about exploring the past through living history activities such as
sewing and calligraphy.
Beginners need not worry at all because our experienced instructors are
dedicated to teaching you.
You could be a time traveler to the isolated Castle Tintagel to enjoy
yourself in a lighthearted atmosphere*,* with learning anything medieval you
are interested in!
